Would you like to get a quick overview of a customer network? There are many different reasons for this, from the initial inventory of a potential new customer to troubleshooting in the event of a failure. But in no case will the customer grant you all-encompassing access rights, such as those of a domain administrator, for an inventory. However, you usually need these to inventory the Windows devices.
In this case, Docusnap offers a simple and fast solution: IP rooms or network segments are systematically scanned using specially developed network queries. The responses returned are then interpreted by Docusnap. In this way, the software can make statements about existing systems with a high degree of probability without high privileged users.
IP scan
The IP scan detects devices in the IT network without using specific protocols and without the use of agents. A high privileged user is therefore not necessary.

The network scan subsumes several inventory wizards (Windows, Exchange and SNMP) and thus provides a comprehensive overview.
